I have owned and operated a graphic and website design business since 2007. I have helped numerous clients start their businesses from the ground up including branding, marketing, graphic and website design, t-shirt, and promotional material design and printing, equipment training, computer training, business software training and network, and technology setup.

“You can only be bound if you accept the boundaries (Carmanita Monroe).” This quote means that the only person that can hold you back from achieving your goals is you, but only if you allow it. I am Ms. Monroe, the IT Instructor for the Bessemer Center for Technology.
I am a graduate of Minor High School. I attended the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, and completed coursework in Management Information Systems and Commerce & Business Administration. I also studied Graphic Design at Ashworth College. I have completed the Career Pathways Cyber Security Program at Jefferson State Community College, where I became a Certified Security Pro. I am currently pursuing a degree in Information Technolgy at Cappella University with a concentration in Cyber Security.
I am married and the mother of the Fantastic 4. I love to read instructional books that teach me how to do something. I am a life-long learner. I believe that everyone should learn how to do a little bit of everything. My mom says, “If you do that, you’ll never be without a job.” I have lived by those words. I have self-taught myself through reading how to do carpentry, plumbing, light mechanic work, computer programming, and more.
I am thrilled to be a part of your educational journey and to be a part of Bessmer City Schools. My expectations are for you to do your best as I do my best to prepare you for life after high school.
